Message FUNNY.....YET VERY SHOCKING STORY

My old beater a 1990 eagle talon pretty much kicked the bucket on me a couple weeks after the Strosek kit was completed. After looking for about a week, my father and I decided to go to the bigger city and see what they had to offer.

THE UNEXPECTED.....My father 76, is pretty tight when it comes to money. He has a 2000 escort. Well, ever since he saw my Z completed, something must of happended without noticing it. We left for Columbus, Ohio to check out what I could find for "ME" as a daily driver. I found a very nice well maintained BMW 323i. My father pointed out a mustang GT which was Burgandy Metallic, and said, thats a nice car. I'm like, yeah it is, but I can't drive something like that during the snow and ice of winter. Plus I would end up having to buy another car for daily driver, cause i wouldnt want to get salt on it.

I jokingly said, why don't you get it. You have to know my father, he won't spend a dime, and always wants to have those grandma and grandpa style cars. He's very proud of his little ESCORT.

His reply to me was... Well lets take it for a spin, just for the hell of it, to see what it really can do. The next thing I know, he wants me to test drive it first. So I said what the hell, we'll do it for fun. So we take off in the 2004 Mustang GT and he was like... That ain't bad, looks like fun. So now he wants to drive it. So we switch and he gives it a test drive, and we get back with a grin on his face. As we are walking away from the GT, he sees the Mustang Mach 1, 40th anniversary in Blue. He loves the hood scoop with the hood being cut out for it and the bigger size engine. So of course, hes like. Go ask for the keys, we're taking this baby for a ride. So we take off, and raise hell with it once on the road. My father at his age, he's smiling EAR to EAR. He's like...pull over sonny, I want to try it out. Of course he lays into it, barkin in the first 3 gears. So we get back, and I tell him, ok lets go get my Bimmer at the other dealership, hes like.... ok, you go get the bimmer, I'm staying here. I'm like yeah, ok, and I started laughing. But my laughing QUICKLY stopped when he told the sales man....lets go work on some numbers.

THATS WHEN IT REALLY SUNK IN ME.... The SOB is gonna buy that Mach1. Sure enough we each drove a car home.

His is a 2004 Mustang Mach1 with 10,600 miles, in BEAUTIFUL Condition, and man is it a fun car.

I went home in a 1999 BMW 323i. This thing is incredible on gas mileage, which is exactly what i needed for a daily driver.

SORRY that pics might be a little dark, but we took these as soon as we got home tonight... Just wanted to share the cars that joined my 300ZX.

The pics of the Bimmer, on the hood is the reflection from the tree in our yard. When I first saw the picture I almost freaked thinking it was dirt. Many of you have seen this tree reflected on the hood of my 300ZX when i posted on here. The Bimmer is in very nice condition as well......

I love my 300ZX TT, but I have to say, I'm not bitchn about having the Mach1 in the family. It was a lot of fun to drive.

Just wanted to share some of the exciting news.
